MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA — The Minneapolis community is mourning the loss of Calvin Robert Wolfe, a 15-year-old who was identified as one of three people killed in a serious crash involving a stolen vehicle and a semitrailer early Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026.
The collision happened around 4:10 a.m. near Southeast Fourth Street and the Interstate 35W exit ramp, close to the University of Minnesota campus. The crash involved a Hyundai Elantra carrying seven teenagers and young adults and a semitrailer.
According to Minneapolis police, the vehicle was traveling west on Southeast Fourth Street before striking the trailer of a semitrailer that was exiting southbound I-35W. The impact caused the Hyundai to become trapped underneath the trailer.
